THE BENNY HANS STORY

Benny started his career in online tech and was one of the original team members at international startup CrowdRise.com, founded by actor Edward Norton, film producer Shauna Robertson and Moosejaw founders Robert and Jeffrey Wolfe.  CrowdRise grew to 150+ employees with online users emerging around the world. CrowdRise was acquired by national fundraising platform GoFundMe.com in 2017.

After CrowdRise, Benny purchased Sears Driving School during the Sears Bankruptcy and relaunched it under a new brand called OFFICIAL Driving School. OFFICIAL Driving School is now leading the industry of driver education in Michigan with over 60 locations and 150+ educators.

Benny also owns and operates Same Day Road Test, which provides fast and professional driver skills testing in Ann Arbor, Canton, Detroit, Rochester Hills, Grand Blanc and Kalamazoo.

Today, Benny runs Benny Hans Inc and invests in small businesses while continuing to grow in the driving industry. As a lobbyist, Benny works with our government officials to make our community roadways safer and create better training for our roadway users. Advocacy is an important part of making our roadways safer, and as an advocate for ‘zero teen deaths,’ Benny also enlists in speaking events and news segments to talk to young drivers who are more at risk of getting in a serious car crash.
